There are around 320 000 animals in the Park and countingAll throughout the park, there are picnic spots that are a must to visit and enjoy a lunch with the family (the picnic spots are enclosed for visitor safety from predators), there are popular look-out hides, where people stand above the ground in hidden structures, enabling the visitors to watch the animals at waterholes and other interesting places without alerting or frightening the animals. back to the top The landscape varies from mountains to flat plains, with lush bush and huge rock boulders. Leopards are rarely seen as they are quite introverted animals and prefer to stay within the rocky/cave areas and if spotted – generally they are in the trees. The lions and elephants, most buck and hyenas, giraffes, cheetahs and many others are generally seen in the open plains, under trees when its hot, by waterholesThe park has a slow driving limit as animals often cross the road and sometimes in front of cars.
